Entheogenic plants as a new path
If your life doesn't get better, just take drugs…
…if only it were that simple!
Treatments that make extraordinary experiences possible are attracting completely new interest. Through the safe use of entheogens, substances that act like power plants to bring about "extraordinary" states of consciousness within us. In these states we get the chance to discover ourselves anew. We learn to connect with our inner healer and to rewrite the rules of this game called life.
Finding higher truths through extraordinary states of consciousness
Going into ourselves instead of escaping ourselves, finding ourselves instead of denying ourselves, solving our problems instead of avoiding them, benefiting our being instead of harming it, dissolving addiction instead of creating it! Discovering new truths: personal, social and universal.
The mission of IBOGA GERMANY is to reveal the truth about entheogens and to clear up the misunderstanding about their properties. To experience them in a way that leads us to understand the reasons for their harmful reputation and their prohibition.
Our vision
Our vision is directed towards truth: inner truths, higher truths and collective truths, all of which help to create a world in which psychedelics and entheogens are seen, understood and valued for their full potential for spiritual and therapeutic development, their truth and their role in our search for our own.
A world in which they can be experienced in safe, supportive and consciousness-expanding settings, without the risk of legal consequences, public condemnation or addiction.
Entheogens, which include drugs such as psychedelics and power plants, are widely misunderstood and misused in today's society. Despite all the benefits that scientific studies have shown for their use in therapy, spiritual development and the human psyche, there is still an immense amount of stigma, judgement and misunderstanding around these substances.
The fierce "war on drugs" keeps fighting a social symptom while ignoring its real cause. Instead, this war blames a certain group of substances that serve to numb social discord, but ignores harmful drugs such as nicotine and alcohol, because they are addictive and backed by big business. At the same time, no solutions are offered to promote and advance scientific research and the use of entheogens as powerful therapeutic tools.
But what are "drugs" anyway? Substances that make you high and addicted? Substances that help you recover? Plants? Psychedelics? Cigarettes? Caffeine? The very meaning of the word has been blurred by laws that classify certain substances as drugs and illegal, while sanctioning other "drugs" that can be more harmful than many of the substances banned by our legal system. When we speak of drugs, we mean entheogens, that is, substances that bring about higher states of consciousness.
In general, we as a society deal with "drugs" in pursuit of coping, avoidance, sedation and party highs. The intention behind why a person interacts with a substance is the result they get. We as a society have been educated about drugs from a biased perspective: the perspective of a person who takes drugs to escape themselves, their pain, their loneliness and their reality. When drugs are used for such shadow purposes, they can indeed cause destruction. But as with any other means, like money, power or fame, it is the intention of the person behind the use that decides the outcome. It is this intention that decides whether the means becomes a source of destruction or a source of creation.
A person who engages with a substance will receive an experience that mirrors their intention: suppression, escapism, avoidance and so on. When such wishes are fulfilled, they cause lasting side effects: physical illness, dependence, inner suffering, lack of fulfilment and more. That is what we are taught about drugs. But what actually causes these side effects, the drugs or the intention?
When the same drugs are taken with the intention of meeting oneself, facing one's fears and searching for one's truth, then such intentions are fulfilled too, and positive side effects can be experienced. Soul-stirring, mind-altering, life-changing side effects that stay with us after the substance has worn off, if they are properly integrated into our waking life.
Many of the possibilities of entheogens have so far gone unmentioned. Many of these unspoken potentials are beneficial for an awake, empowered society and harmful for an indoctrinated, obedient and controlled society, as found in many parts of the world today.

We believe that people deserve to know the whole story. Our wish is to reveal what has so far been withheld from the public. We are committed to informing people about both the positive and the negative potential of entheogens, so that everyone can decide for themselves, fully informed, whether and how they want to use them.
The purpose of our message is to redirect a person's limited understanding of entheogens and their intention to use them: from escape to self-discovery, from self-suppression to self-immersion, from shutting down to opening up, and from sedation to awakening.
This is the beginning of a psychedelic revolution. This is a revelation of truth. This is… a WHOLE NEW PATH!

The adjective entheogenic (from ancient Greek en "in", theos "god" and genesthai "to bring about") describes a spiritual experience felt as oneness with everything, often described by users of psychotropic drugs. The term entheogen was introduced in 1970 by an informal committee including the American ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson (1898 to 1986) and the American ethnobotanist Jonathan Ott. It replaces derogatory terms for spiritually usable substances with hallucinogenic properties such as cannabis, psilocybin, LSD or dimethyltryptamine (DMT). According to this definition, entheogens are largely identical with psychedelics. Entheogens act psychotomimetically (in a psychosis-like way) by influencing various neurotransmitter systems.
In a more general sense, entheogens are substances and preparations traditionally used for spiritual, mystical and religious purposes. Such use can give people under their influence the feeling of being connected with a deity or other beings, or of grasping and seeing the whole universe (religious vision). This state is comparable to that of a shaman or medicine man who believes that, through the effect of an elixir, he can communicate with the spirits.
