Your Own Iboga Plantation in Ghana

In short: You lease your own field in Ghana for 20 years. We raise your iboga plants from our own seeds, plant them in the rainforest, fence your field and look after it the whole time. After 15 to 20 years we dig up the roots for you.

The packages

• XS: 10 x 10 m (about 33 x 33 ft), 100 plants, about $7,590, one-time payment
• S: 15 x 15 m (about 49 x 49 ft), 225 plants, about $13,860, one-time payment
• M: 20 x 20 m (about 66 x 66 ft), 400 plants, about $19,660, one-time payment
• L: 30 x 30 m (about 98 x 98 ft), 900 plants, about $32,890, instalments possible
• XL: 50 x 50 m (about 164 x 164 ft), 1,250 plants, about $46,000, instalments possible

Instalments means: half is due right away, the rest in yearly instalments or in one payment after 5 years. Prices are set in euros and converted at 1 EUR = 1.15 USD, so they may vary with the exchange rate. Other sizes are possible on request.

What the price includes

• Your land for 20 years. George buys the land on site, and you receive a signed lease agreement.
• Your plants from our own seeds. Our plants bear fruit once a year. We take the seeds from the fruit and raise the seedlings by hand. After about 18 months they are around 30 cm (12 in) tall and go out into the rainforest.
• Good soil. We analyse the soil, add organic fertiliser and lay copper in the field for electro-gardening. This strengthens the roots.
• Shade. Iboga does not grow on an open field, but in the shade among other plants.
• A fence all around. 2 m (about 6.5 ft) high, so that people and animals do not trample the young plants. It also shows that this is your field.
• Checks and protection. George regularly walks all the fields. After a storm we straighten fallen plants and repair the fence. With wildlife cameras you can watch your field via livestream.

How it works

1. Years 1 to 5: raising and planting. We raise up to 300 seedlings per season. For a large field it can therefore take up to 5 years until all plants are outside.
2. Years 6 to 20: your plants grow and mature in peace.
3. After 15 to 20 years: the harvest. We dig up the roots and cut them up for you.

We only ship fresh roots by air mail. By sea they would go mouldy, because they are not dry enough yet.

After the harvest, if you wish

For an extra charge we process your harvest further. The cost depends on effort, lab work and quantity:

• Root bark chips: the bark separated from the root wood by hand and dried in the sun
• Root bark powder, 3 to 5 % active content
• Lab processing to ibogaine: TA, PTA or HCl

You are welcome any time

You can visit your field at any time and see everything for yourself, also with students. If you want samples analysed, we can send you material during the growing years as well.

Good to know

• This is a project over 20 years. It takes patience.
• We do not promise any profit or any particular yield. Nature remains nature.
• With instalments: if the rest is not paid and you cannot be reached for 12 months, the plants revert to us under the lease agreement.
